Proposed Section 26a Permit for a Modification to Painter Creek Marina on South Holston Reservoir

TVA is considering a Section 26a application request from Painter Creek Marina to install additional boat slips and a 7.41 acre expansion to existing harbor limits.  Section 26a permit approval of these facilities will increase the recreational opportunities on South Holston Reservoir.  The project is located on South Holston Reservoir at South Fork Holston River Mile 60.7 (right bank) (36.585177, -82.042165), in Sullivan County, Tennessee.

TVA is interested in receiving comments regarding the action’s potential to affect the environment or historic properties and to identify any other issues associated with this request prior to making a permit decision.  Any comments received, including names and addresses, will become part of the administrative record and will be available for public inspection.  All written comments on this proposed action must be received on or before November 1, 2023.  Written comments may be mailed to the address below or emailed to [email protected].
