Proposed Easement on Watts Bar Reservoir for Riley Creek Campground

TVA is considering a request to grant a 30-year public recreation easement over approximately 70.2 acres on Watts Bar Reservoir at Tennessee River Mile 570 (left bank) (35.829278, -87.526158), in Roane County, Tennessee. Roane County has requested a 30-year easement for the continued operation of Riley Creek Campground and Day Use area. Roane County plans to make improvements which include additional campsites, a septic system, drain field, restroom, and playground area. TVA is seeking public comment prior to a final decision on the easement request.

TVA is interested in receiving comments regarding the action’s potential to affect the environment or historic properties and to identify any other issues associated with this request.  Any comments received, including names and addresses, will become part of the administrative record and will be available for public inspection.
