Five TVA workers from the Gray Service Center and Boone Dam teamed up to get in the spirit of holiday giving. TVA employees gave their time to participate in the December “Day of Serving.”
Workers from TVA’s Boone Dam opened their hearts and wallets to purchase a bus load of new toys for the annual Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Drive.
Some middle school teams competed in the third annual First LEGO League Robotics Tennessee State Qualifying tournament at East Tennessee State University Dec. 2. TVA provided sponsorship and judges.
For many Tri-Cities area families, a drive through “The Pinnacle Speedway in Lights Powered By TVA” is a holiday tradition. A route of approximately four miles with 2 million lights provides entertainment for thousands and raises money for children’s charities.
Fostering a love of astronomy is one of the benefits of TVA’s current partnership with the Hands On! Museum. TVA recently purchased two telescopes for the museum to support STEM education.
